breathe in grace

Our Story

The Grace Wheel represents a mosaic celebration of Black, Brown, Indigenous Women of Color's (BBIWOC) emotions, attitudes, attributes, expressions, and experiences.  The wheel was inspired by an article, “There is a word for the thing we need most right now:  Grace,” by Elizabeth Wellington.  The blatant racial inequities, social and economic injustices highlighted during the pandemic, continue to be experienced. In this reality, we can show ourselves and others mercy, seek justice, through grace which strengthens, sustains and keeps us.

OUR GOAL

To encourage Black, Brown, Indigenous, Women of Color (BBIWOC) to recognize the realness of our emotional experiences and expressions, intentionally inviting grace into our lives from a place of empowerment, voice and choice.
